The practice of reiki and its benefits
Throughout the history of humanity there have been healings, based on the manifestation and transmission of a Universal Vital Energy, capable of penetrating everything and able to produce and maintain all forms of life in the Universe.
The word REIKI is of Japanese origin and consists of two syllables:
REI = Universal, no limits
KI = Life Energy
Reiki is a practice of transfer of healing energy by imposing hands, no physical contact is necessary.
“Healing” according to Reiki means returning to a natural cosmic cycle from which we may have separated ourselves, living in harmony with our spirit. It means letting in the energy of life and letting ourselves be guided to our destiny, without resisting.
Reiki turns us into channels, channels of the universal energy of life, this is Reiki’s simple secret: to let life flow through us…
Reiki opens the universal energy channel to flow through us. When the Ki energy, our vital energy flow, is blocked, then that’s when the body gets sick.
Free and abundant flow Ki is said to create health, while stagnant or deficient Ki is considered to lead to disease.
As we have commented, this practice is considered according to the WHO, as a complementary treatment for the treatment of physical, emotional and mental illnesses and imbalances caused by energy imbalances. At our Sol i Lluna Natural Therapies Center in Valencia, we have great professionals in the Reiki that can help you unlock that flow of vital energy that activates our defenses and manages to awaken mind and spirit.
At our Sol i Lluna Natural Therapies Center in Valencia you can taste and enjoy the Reiki, in an atmosphere accompanied by aromas and relaxing music so that you are in a state of complete relaxation.
In addition, Reiki’s practice is accompanied by the use of crystals, so that the energy flows better between the chakras and we use the sound of the tibetan bowl, to relax the mind more deeply.
What is the origin of the reiki?
Despite what many people think Reiki is not a millennial practice, much less it has its origin in 1922 when it is said that Buddhist Japanese Mikao Usui discovered the basis of these techniques while in a spiritual retreat in the Kurama mountains of Kyoto. It is said that Usui, in a meditative state, arrived at the enlightenment process to restructure all the knowledge he had acquired in his travels and channel his universal energy. This may have been the true origin of Reiki as a technique.
Mikao Usui did not take Reiki as a simple therapy, but applied it to his day to day as a philosophy of life to follow to connect with his soul and his needs. Therefore, he taught his patients the Five Principles of Reiki, to repeat them three times in a row, especially when waking up and before going to sleep. These principles preach the following:
- Don’t be angry: Ikaruna
- Don’t worry: Shin pai suna
- Be grateful: Kan Sha Shite
- Work diligently and honestly: Gyo-o hageme
- Be kind to all beings: hito ni shinsetsu ni

Crystallotherapy and chackras
The stones of the 7 Chakras are connected to crystallotherapy. As is well known, everything has its own energy field. The stones are no different. Crystallotherapy uses the vibrations of semi-precious stones to purify the energy of our body by giving a new balance to the forces that make us up and impregnate us.
The term “chakra” comes from Sanskrit and means “wheel,” but also “center,” “vortex.” They are present in philosophy and studies of Indian physiology and traditional medicine and are also taken up by many other Eastern philosophies and disciplines. These energy nodes are arranged along the spine and beyond along an imaginary golden thread that connects the material plane with higher consciousness planes. There are 7 basic chakras, located along the spine, and they are the ones that connect our physical body with the spiritual body. Each Chakra affects a particular physical, mental, biological, affective and spiritual area.
- 7° Chakra Sahasrara–
- 6° Chakra Ajna
- 5° Chakra Vishuddha
- 4° Chakra Anahata
- 3° Chakra Manipura
- 2° Chakra Svadisthana
- 1° Chakra Muladhara
Muladhara is the first chakra, also known as the root chakra, located between the pubis and the cocktail. It governs the survival instinct but also our instinctive side. It connects to earthly and spiritual roots. When you feel lethargic and do not feel any attractive stimuli, it is likely blocked and you need to balance it. The stones connected to Muladhara are red and black, especially red jasper.
Svadhistana is the second chakra, also known as the sacred chakra. It is located immediately above the pubic area. It represents the joy of living, pleasure and emotions in general. Sexuality is no longer seen only as a reproductive act but also as a source of maximum pleasure. It also means enjoying socializing, maintaining good and healthy relationships with others. The main stone connected is the cornaline, provided it is orange.
Manipura is the third chakra, also known as the solar plexus. It is located just below the navel and the dominant color is yellow. It represents power and personal affirmation, it is the seat of the ego and governs our intuition. This is where our repressed emotions and fears lurk. The stones connected to this chackra are the yellow stones, in our Natural Therapies center Sol i Lluna we use citrine quartz.
Anahata is the fourth chakra, also known as the heart chakra. It is located right in the heart and its color is green. It is the center of feelings, of love but also of listening. As you work with him, you also bring balance and awareness into your life. Love is understood not only as a feeling towards others, but also towards ourselves. The main stone connected is pink quartz.
Vishuddha is the fifth chakra, also known as the center of the throat. It is located in the second half of the neck, at the height of the clavicles. Its color is blue. The fifth chakra governs the ability to communicate, when there are problems from this point of view, in fact it is possible to intervene in Vishuddha. It is the center of aesthetic perception, of creativity, but also of connection with other planes of reality. The blue chalcedony is the main connected stone.
Ajna is the sixth chakra, also known as the third eye. It’s between the eyebrows. It is the energy center of the sixth sense, of reality that goes beyond matter. It is one of the two most spiritual chakras in history. It regulates the functioning of the pituitary gland, but also the concentration and ideas. The stone par excellence connected with the sixth chakra is the amethyst.
We conclude with Sahasrara, the seventh chakra or crown chakra. It is our most spiritual center, that of the highest consciousness. It is the most spiritual frequency, extending our field of vision to other worlds. It connects us with the universal energy, with the Divine, the stone most linked to the Sahasrara is the rock crystal.
Tibetan bowls
Sound therapy with tibetan bowls is an ancient form of regeneration.
The sound of these bells harmonizes with both hemispheres of the brain, generating deep relaxation, reducing stress to all levels and stimulating the elimination of toxins from the body. After hearing them, the emotions calm down and the mind clears up, so much so that the sound vibrations continue to produce their effects even after the sound has stopped. But what exactly does this therapeutic effect come from?
Sound is undoubtedly one of the most powerful means of rebalancing our energy frequencies, as its waves can lead the brain to different states of consciousness. Consider, for example, the sound frequencies used to stimulate sleep or concentration.
Tibetan bowls work precisely because of the sound waves that are emitted when the bowl is hit with the baquette. These vibrations are so significant and organized that they have the ability to move different elements, such as water, forming fascinating designs and patterns.
Today we have the technology that allows us to film closely a bowl full of water and then reduce the speed of the recording to reveal what happens with each hit of the baquette. We can observe the delicate way in which the vibrations of the bowl lift and manipulate the water, making the drops dance on the surface choreographically.
Since humans are composed of a large amount of water, it is not surprising that a singing bowl can have a significant effect on the vibrations of the body. Some practitioners believe that if we can make our vibrations harmonize with those of a Tibetan bowl, the opportunities for balance and healing become infinite.
